TV Coverage - Kettering Were Right!

TV Coverage - Kettering Were Right!

In the build up to the Kettering FA Cup tie, we couldn`t help but give them stick over their incessant pleading for the game to be given live TV coverage.

In reality we were just indulging in a little bit of banter designed to wind our opposition up.

In hindsight, we have to agree with Kettering, the game would have made the perfect cup tie for the television companies to show, as it had everything, action, drama, goals, tension and the possibility of a real upset.

After the game, the Kettering boss had one final dig at those responsible for the choice of cup ties for live coverage, remarking,

"I bet they wish they had come here now. It shows the Cup Is not about Manchester United against Tottenham and Cardiff against Arsenal. It`s about non-league teams on their own ground taking on the big boys."

Let`s hope, for round five, those words are heeded and we see a few 'David v Goliath` ties covered rather than the obligatory United and Liverpool ties!
