Fulham v Kettering - Hodgson Speaks!

Well it wasn`t quite the banana skin some hoped for but plucky Kettering gave Fulham a good old run for their money.

Only the two late goals, courtesy of Andrew Johnson and Bobby Zamora spared our blushes.

In his after match press conference, Roy Hodgson talked about the classic cup tie and our brave opposition, remarking,

"We prepared professionally and it was a thoroughly professional performance."

"It`s nice to get the win because you don`t want two defeats in a row and even a 2-2 draw would have felt like a defeat."

"Bobby Zamora and Danny Murphy coming on probably just edged it for us but we deserved to score four goals and missed a lot more chances."

"But Kettering were magnificent. I`m sure they will be a bit down having been 2-2 with a few minutes left, but they shouldn`t be."

"They can look back on this as a glorious day in their history."

All I`ll say is; can we have someone easier in round five please?

They gave us a very good game..but to be fair there was clear differnce in quality. I feel it was quite an efficient performance from the lads.
