'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fulham - Passions Run High!

It`s a passionate game, passion run high and tempers get frayed but Roy Hodgson almost coming to blows with an opposition player, now that is a rare occurrence.

Thankfully it didn`t come to that as common sense prevailed but for an instant 'Gentleman Roy` almost did his utmost to get himself on a charge.

Speaking after the game Roy commented upon an incident that momentarily, left him incandescent with rage, remarking,

"I`m not in favour of people kicking the ball at opponents who are only two or three yards away."

"I told Neill what I thought, from close range, and he also told me what I should do. It`s a long time since I thought of getting into a fight with a hard Australian, but fortunately I thought better of it."

Now that would have been some sight to see the burly Aussie and our very own 'Gentleman Roy` rolling around the Upon Park pitch engaged in unarmed combat!
