Fulham Gazumped?

Fulham Gazumped?

Last week we were linked, several times, to the transfer of James Beattie.

The Sheffield United striker was being targeted as a potential buy for Fulham.

This prospect appears to have alerted Stoke City to the potential availability of Beattie and the Premier League new-boys have, apparently, blown away any interest we may have been showing by offering Sheffield United something close to £6 million for his services.

For once, I have to admit I`m not too upset about having been seriously gazumped.

Are you?
