Fulham - Nor-way Roy?

Interestingly, after taking Fulham onto greater things this season, the name of Roy Hodgson has been linked to the Norway national coaches job.

Roy, who has previously worked as an international coach with Switzerland, thankfully has rejected the idea completely insisting he wants to stay at Craven Cottage.

But, another man with a link to Fulham, Lawrie Sanchez, seems keen to throw his hat into the ring.

Sanchez who memorably managed Northern Ireland before joining Fulham, is currently out of work and is quoted as saying,

'I've had a look at the job and I'm very interested"

"Norway have a very good side, I'm available and I hope to get an interview with the Norwegian FA."

"My results on an international level speak for themselves. I don't know if anyone ever has climbed 97 places with a team in the FIFA world rankings."

"I managed to get a small side to compete with the big guns and Norway seem to be in a similar position now to the one Northern Ireland were in when I took over."

"Now it's all about the Norwegian FA deciding."

What`s the feeling folks - is it a match made in heaven or should the Norwegians give Lawrie a wide berth?

Under Egil Oslen (the man who relegtated Wimbledon) Norway played long ball and got to the World Cup semis. Sanchez could be onto something here. I just hope they pay him on results only and no basic.
