Fulham - Roy Speaks!

Following on from our progression into the 4th round of the FA Cup with a 2-1 win at Hillsborough yesterday, Roy Hodgson was able to reflect on several things in his post match spiel.

First he described how hard the fixture had been remarking,

"I wondered whether the second goal would come. Luckily, we did it but then we almost conceded."

"The win is good for our morale - it can be just as hard to win here as a Premier League fixture."

Before moving on to praise Sheffield Wednesday by commenting,

"They forced us to give our best."

However, it was our two goal scoring hero, Andrew Johnson who received the plaudits when Hodgson remarked,

"He took his goals so well. Both showed great passing and movement and the quality of his runs was good to see."

Personally, I`m just relieved we`re through and that we`ve finally won away from home this season!

AJ had to score, Dempsey was in danger of overhauling his total :-)

would have been nice not to concede though, even though it was a great strike.

Exactly, It doesn't matter how we do it, another win under our belts and one of the longest streaks i can remember since our days in the Championship and League One. A superb effort and there are another 2 games for us to pick up 6 points in and move further into the top half

This away win will boost the confidence a little more to do well away in the league.
