'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fulham - Hodgson Looking for Contract Extension?

The past year has seen a dramatic change in our clubs fortunes.

From being a side who seemed eternally made for gracing relegation battles we`re turned things around and now, on the back of a nine game unbeaten run in the Premier League, we`re handily placed to venture forth in January and cement our position in the Premier League fairly early on.

Much of this renaissance is down to our manager Roy Hodgson who continues to show that experience, at a top level in this game, is simply invaluable.

Therefore, it is particularly pleasing to hear Roy speak about extending his contract at Fulham and also being extremely satisfied at how the club have treated him when he remarks,

'I would be quite happy to extend my contract.'

'Fulham has more than matched my expectations and the club matches my ambitions. I don't dream of bigger and better things as I think I have a very good thing at the moment."

'For me the situation I find myself in at the moment is as optimum a situation as I could wish for."

'I have never contemplated retirement and I really do enjoy the day-to-day work, the day-to-day coaching. "

'I would like to keep going and if we as a team are good enough to keep going then I am more than happy where I am.'

Let`s hope Roy gets his wishes.

We should be offering Roy an extended contract before we think about negotiating Bullards in my opinion! Roy is the best signing Fulham have made in years

what a brillant job this man has done and the style and dignity he has shown, he is saying he wants to stay as our manager which is more than bullard is saying, earlier on in the season bullard was saying he owed the club for saving his career , has he forgotten that, i hope he is not going to be a anpther money grabber
