Fulham to be Out-Muscled for Delph?

Yesterday we ran an article implying that the Leeds teenage sensation, Fabian Delph, was a target for Fulham.

Today, we learn that we`re likely to be gazumped in our attempts to sign him with Manchester United prepared to blow us out of the water with an offer to Leeds we stand no chance of matching.

Sir Alex Ferguson is looking to tempt the teenager to Old Trafford by offering Leeds a package worth some £10 million, topping our offer of £6 million.

The Sun is suggesting that the initial fee will match our offer but other clause, related to appearances, will raise the fee further. Ferguson has also thrown into the ring an offer to lend Leeds some of his promising youngsters.

Not sure we ever really stood a chance once one of the so-called big four came sniffing around did we!

who in their right mind would want to spend the next three years in the reserves at Old Trafford!
Al Billy
I agree. If he really wants to make a serious step forward in his career he should move to fulham, spend a good few years proving he can score goals and THEN, if he feels the need, move on. If he went to United, he'd spend 3 years in the reserves and then get shoved out to some championship side or lower end prem team. It's not even worth it. Come hither Fabian
