Fulham - Up for The Cup!

With our Premier League form stabilised and the team on a great nine game unbeaten run, it`s time to focus on the FA Cup.

I can`t help thinking we`re due a good cup run, recent years have been filled with disappointment and the buzz a decent cup run brings to a club can boost performances in other competitions, therefore, it`s pleasing to hear our Australian keeper, Mark Schwarzer, extolling the virtues of a good cup run and implying that - we`re in it to win it, when he remarks,

"We`re taking it very seriously. The FA Cup gives you an opportunity to try and qualify for Europe and win a major trophy. It`s the number one cup competition in the world. I`ve been fortunate enough to have been involved in some very good FA Cup runs, they`re great fun and we need to continue our form."

"We saw the final last year being between Portsmouth and Cardiff, I don`t think anyone would have put money on that being the final at the start of the season - or that two Championship sides would be in the semi-final. So it`s open for everyone."

All that remains is for us to chalk up that elusive first away win of the season and brush away memories of our defeat to lower league opposition (Burnley) in the other domestic cup competition this season.

Fingers crossed, our year this year
we need a long cup run, it's something that's been missing in recent years!
Al Billy
but we must conquer our awful away record!
I really hope we get a good cup run!! Thats the last piece of the jigsaw this season me thinks :) a good league finish, with no fear of the drop, and a very good cup run, maybe even win it :) That would be a very good season!
