Fulham - One Year On!

This time last year Roy Hodgson hadn`t been in the Fulham hot seat for very long, we were on a downward spiral and relegation looked to be a possibility, this year we`re sitting pretty, so what has been the most significant thing in such a dramatic turnaround?

Clint Dempsey, the scorer of two dramatic goals against closest rivals Chelsea, on Sunday, put it all down to confidence and whilst being interviewed after the 2-2 draw had this to say on the matter,

"I think the big thing is confidence."

"We`re not giving up too many goals. We`ve got a nine or ten game unbeaten streak going."

"Defensive shape is something that the coaches have worked on with us a lot. We`re giving up less goals, and anytime you can do that and score a few, that`s what allows you to win games`"

"It makes the training sessions more intense, because we know we`re on the right track. There`s still a lot that we can accomplish. I think it has to be attributed to both the players and the management."

But, it should be drummed into the players that confidence is a fragile entity, a couple of poor results can see the fabric destroyed, however, we`re sure Roy will not let that happen will he?
