Fulham - Zamora The Unsung Hero!

I think it is something like thirteen or fourteen games since Bobby Zamora scored!

But, his current play is showing that whilst scoring goals is the bread and butter of forward play, it`s not the be all and end all.

His running off the ball, his ability to pull defenders out of place and his sheer persistence in chasing what appear to be lost causes, show what a superb team player he can be.

It`s a fact that was not lost on Harry Redknapp, the Spurs manager, when he had the opportunity to witness, first hand, the striker in action on Boxing Day.

In his post match interview, Redknapp was lavish in his praise of Bobby comemtning,

"I thought Bobby Zamora was outstanding, in the first half he held the ball up very well. I wish he was still at Tottenham."

"They let him go and maybe thought he wasn`t good enough. Maybe he wasn`t good enough when they had Berbatov, Keane and Defoe but he looks all right to me."

Sorry Harry mate, he`s not for sale!

I don't care who scores as long as we win!
Putney
To be honest, he's better value than goals

I thought he was quite poor at Boxing Day, but apparently Redknapp saw something I didn't! Bobatov is still a legend though:D
