Fulham - South African Star Close to Signing?

It`s a story we`ve been keeping a close eye since we first heard about it back in the summer.

The story being the possible signing of the South African star, Kagiso Dikgacoi.

If you recall, we told you how the South African had enjoyed a successful spell training with Fulham down at Motspur Park but had subsequently been dejected to learn he wouldn`t be granted a work permit.

Well, things now look as if they`ve moved on a bit with the South African now looking as if he could join us in the January transfer window. Reports are surfacing that suggest a second application has been made for a work permit for the twenty-four year old who has remarked,

"Fulham are in the process of applying for a work permit for me and I`m keeping my fingers crossed."

"It has always been a dream of mine to ply my trade in Europe and I hope I get my chance in the Premier League."

"There`s been interest in me from other teams in Europe but I`d prefer to join Fulham, who know me and what I`m capable of."

"The club trying to get me a work permit is proof that they are really interested in my services."

Hopefully, it`ll be successful this time around.

Looks like he may be Bullard's replacement then :-(

but I have to ask is he any good?

Some South African said in a Teamtalk.com comment, that Dikgacoi always gives 150 % and scores quite a few wonder goals from the distance! Doesn't sound bad to me:) Hopefully he is right!

I've seen him a few times for the national team and I can safely say he is no bullard replacement. He is in the same sort of mold as brutus and if he plays we will have two DFM with him and murphy. He has the potential and with Roy has every chance to be a very good player.

I await his arrival with glee!
