Fulham - Can We Fast Forward January?

Fulham - Can We Fast Forward January?

I doubt whether the rumours will stop until that transfer window slams shut at the end of January.

Yet again, in the tabloids this morning, we`re treated to some quotes from Roy Hodgson as he tries to anticipate how things will work out during the window.

Roy has already spoken about how he wants t keep both Brede Hangeland and Jimmy Bullard but also how circumstances may affect that possibility this morning though his quote would seem to indicate that he`d be thoroughly happy if the whole sorry transfer window saga were to pass by without any transfer action at all taking place at Craven Cottage, see what you think,

"If we could keep this group of players together, and it wasn`t possible to do any business in the transfer market, I wouldn`t be too disheartened."

"That`s because I think the squad I`ve got is good enough to achieve our goals."

If the squad is good enough then why do we never see two or more subs used? Surely there is a player we could sign that might make a difference. As for wishing Jan was over, have you seen we have at least 10 players on loan to make a return on. Sell Hamuer? Sell some of the other dead wood.

i think we should bring hamuer back... i liked what he did on the left hand side when he was playing. he has a lot of pace, and can serve balls in from the left side. plus i still remember his free kick against man city; that was a beauty... it would address the fact that we don't have a natural left winger in the starting lineup right now, or really an option in the 1st squad... ps. sell baird, please.

Hodgson has said before, the reason for not using any subs is because he sees no need for it. The only real substitutions are just a straight swap. Usually a Gera for Dempsey, Baird for Bullard/Murphy or a Nevland for Johnson/Zamora. He clearly stated in an interview a while back that the reason for substitutions is if a player is looking tired or out of sorts and if all the players on the field are working well together and still spritely then why change a good thing
