Brede Going Nowhere!

Our giant defender, Brede Hangeland, won't be leaving in January.

Putney earlier reported that Brede is stalling over a new contract as he waits to see what is available to him in January.

However Hangeland has come out to say he will not go as he 'owes Roy one'.

'Obviously I'm here because of him,'.

'I will always owe him, and will try and do my best to keep him happy every Saturday.

'I've got a contract for two more years, and the way things are going I can see myself staying here a long time. It's a great club.'

Hangeland has formed a very impressive understanding with Hughes which has seen us have the fourth-best defensive record in the Premiership, conceding 11 goals, only bettered by Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United.

So it aint over just yet!

I thought in the summer he might become a 'Saha' and that the big clubs will come knocking in January. I really hope we keep him as he's been immense ever since we bought him.

Al Billy
