Fulham - Is Hodgson Right?
Yesterday I was a little hesitant to cover these few quotes from Roy Hodgson.
I had this smidgeon of suspicion that if the Tottenham players were to read them they might just be so pumped up that Roy would have egg all over his face.
As it turned out, Tottenham were so flat for much of the match you could have been forgiven that Ramos was still in charge and the very attitude that Roy speaks about was prevalent again.
So what do you make of the quotes below?
Has Roy touched on a raw nerve that could be applicable to many clubs or is it all down to man-management techniques, something some managers may well be lacking in, especially in a foreign land whereby attitudes and the way people are spoken to can be so different?
"Harry has gone there and everyone is heaping superlatives on him for the job he has done - and quite rightly so."
"I congratulate him but I must say I feel sorry for the previous coach as the players are still the same."
"Harry ha snot brought in any different players and I do always think players should take some responsibility."
"I am pretty sure that Ramos and his #2 Gus Poyet must be seeing the team playing as they do now and saying to themselves 'Why weren`t they doing this a few weeks ago?`
"That doesn`t take anything away from Harry and the great job he is doing."
Is he right, or is he wrong?
