Fulham - Cook Whines (Again)

It`s interesting to sit back and just take stock of the Carling Cup ties this week.

After our exit in an earlier round we can rest our tiring limbs and prepare for the visit of Spurs this weekend.

Tonight, our near-neighbours Queens Park Rangers travel to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United.

Amongst their ranks will be a certain Lee Cook, a winger who we paid a fortune for but who sat on the treatment table for an eternity until he was loaned back to his boyhood team, Queens Park Rangers.

Ahead of the clash Cook has whittled on about proving Roy Hodgson wrong remarking,

"Unfortunately, I didn`t get a chance there after my injury. I`ve had to come out on loan and start again really. It`s disappointing that I wasn`t given a chance but I`m back at QPR now and trying to get them back into the Premier League where Fulham are. Maybe one day I can prove myself to them when I play them."

It`s a confidence thing. I know the ability is there, it`s just getting the confidence. And when you put the two together, confidence and ability, no one should be able to stop you."

So, is Mr Cook now trying to imply we were responsible for his confidence crisis?

Either way, I`ll raise a smile tonight when United topple Queens Park Rangers and those twenty family and friends he`s bagged tickets for traipse all the way home in the dead of the night.
