Dempsey Heading for Cottage Exit?

It`s hardly a surprise to hear that our American striker, Clint Dempsey, could be leaving Craven Cottage this summer.

After making just one start this season it must be highly frustrating for Clint to have to spend so long on the bench just hoping for a few minutes action, especially as he was our top scorer last season.

Speaking about his situation, as we prepare to play Newcastle this weekend, Clint has soken out about his lack of action and his future plans remarking,

'I'm just trying to prove to him (Roy) that I deserve to play''

'After this season I have a year left.'

'If a team want to get me out, we'll see.'

In all honesty, perhaps a move is the best option considering the money Roy has spent on front players Clint`s future does look bleak.

Quite. I agree.

I don't see how Dempsey breaks into the starting eleven. So have his recent run outs as a substitute just been to increase his value in the transfer market? I'm glad to see him getting some playing time recently for whatever reason.
acrossthepond
he's normally introduced when we're in the cack!
Al Billy
and bails us out sometimes might I add!
Putney
when he gets his chance always gives his all but im not sure if he is really quick enough or has a the skills to be in the premiership
dan the man
I still don't understand why he is behind Gera and Davies. Gera has produced absolutely NOTHING, and Davies is up and down, mostly down. When Dempsey gets on the pitch, he brings a lot of energy and creates opportunities. Sit Gera, play Dempsey. For the first couple months last year, he was our best player, and he seems to have IT going again.
