Fulham - The First of the Six-Pointers?

As the week passes its midway point, it`s beginning to reach that time whereby we need to focus on the forthcoming game against Newcastle.

Originally, well prior to Newcastle`s 2-0 win over Aston Villa on Monday night, this game had 'clash of the relegation candidates` written all over it.

Things have slightly changed though with Newcastle having climbed into 14th place and any thoughts we had of classifying this as a six pointer for both sides have been somewhat diluted.

Nevertheless, we pressed on with a poll suggesting such and our readership tended to agree with us with 62% of you agreeing that, for us, the fixture has already taken on six point status.

If Newcastle can orchestrate such a jump on the back of one such win then so we can we.

Out of the other options, 33% of you went for the 'too early to say` option whilst a very low 5% of you went for the negative option of - no!

Perhaps we`ll reflect on what this result might have meant to us in the new Year and then see how the 33% feel!
