Fulham - We Don't Lack Effort?

Disappointingly, following on from Fulham`s draw at Fratton Park, Roy Hodgson chose to focus on Harry Redknapp a lot in his post match interview.

Now, we`ll accept that Harry is something of a football icon when it comes to wheeler-dealing but we`d have preferred to hear more about what Roy thought of our performance.

However, we should be grateful for small mercies and subsequently thi sis the gist of what Roy said yesterday, if you cut the Harry bits out,

'Portsmouth are a good team with big, strong defenders, hard-working midfielders and dangerous strikers. So this is a good result."

'We have a lot of spirit and it is important that we keep that spirit because this team will get stronger."

'I can never accuse my team of lacking effort and we need to pick up as many points so that we can move up the table.'

Starting with Wigan on Wednesday we`d hope.

Roy, we still need a midfield enforcer, we lack muscle in the middle of the pitch, please sort this out in January.

it was a stirring effort to come back from being under the cosh - well done lads!

I was already penning a report suggesting we're in trouble! Just goes to show!

You should have beaten out of site before you scored. Once Diarra went off injured we lacked any ideas in midfield & that just made the difference. God help us come January when the ghost of RH returns to take him away with Defoe.

I believe you mean HR storagematt? Or do you know something we don't? lol.

this draw wiv Portsmouth s a gd result but until RH brought in dempsey n nevland (who didnt get much chance to play but did provide the superb cross assist to dempsey cooly executed goal), the lads didnt play well enough n we could easily go 2 or 3-nil down. n in a run of 4 or 5 games without winning, scoring dreadfully handful goals the future jsut doesnt seem bright lads we cant wait until January better start picking up points or this current form would drag us into another relegation battle. More importantly, i hope all first team players will stay fit n dont get injured. For the next Wigan match lads just go n give your 200% to beat them for 3 points NOW they just lost 4-nil at home Zaki didnt score so it s time for us to kick start winning again COYW
