Sunday - Only Marginally Better Than Monday?

With the Portsmouth away game kicking off at 17:00 hours, I have a question!

Am I alone, or does everyone agree with me, that a 17:00 hour kick off, on a Sunday, is only marginally better than the worse kick-off time currently on the football calendar, that of the dreaded Setanta 20:00 hours Monday night kick off?

Not only does the Sunday time and date leave you waiting all weekend for a Fulham fix it also means that utilising public transport to return to the metropolis that is London, becomes a challenge that should belong on that much missed television programme, the Krypton Factor!

It's not so much the train back to London that's the problem but the links that are inevitably broken when the London bound train gets delayed and you arrive at your crossover point to find your connecting train has long gone and it's a lonely wait for the next, that is, if there is one!

How I long for the much missed days when all games were 15:00 kick-off on a Saturday - much missed times!

You're not alone. The only worse time I remember was our 02 semi-final: 20:00 on Sunday in Birmingham.

it was a bit daft playing the semi at Villa Park wasn't it?

Sorry chaps, unfortunately, we have the Great South Run on Sunday and the time had to be put back as a lot of the roads will be closed.
