Andrew Johnson - Has His Season Begun?

You can play with statistics all you like, you can arrange them to support a case, you can equally arrange them to destroy a theory but one thing is for sure, they rarely ever lie, or do they?

Here we are, at the mid-point in October, already, despite the credit crunch, thoughts are turning to Christmas, some council's, if you read the tabloids, have even strung up their lights already.

So at mid-October you could ask a question relating to our recent costly buy, Andrew Johnson.

You could ask whether you believe he has been value for money so far and on the surface you'd probably, looking at the statistics, come to a negative conclusion.

Johnson has yet to get off the mark, his return, as a goal scorer, has therefore been poor.

That is, unless, off course, you delve deeper.

It may be mid-October but look at how many games Fulham have actually played. Then take away the games Johnson missed through that niggling injury he had when he joined us, also subtract the games he's missed through suspension and you'll find that, for Andrew Johnson, the season has hardly started.

So, let's all hope that he can get it kick-started this Saturday as we take on Sunderland.

Surley the Baldy man can score many goals in many years to come for fulham!
Backslash2010
but a few would help this season before we all get immersed another dog-fight at the bottom!
Al Billy
at the moment I'd settle for one goal from him! One goal to ease the building pressure!
Putney
....if you can get him fully fit...and keep him fit.....he will score lots of goals for you.......but......its the fittness thing that is the deciding factor !
lincolnblue
just needs to get his goal then he will be up and running
sdavies25
a hat trick this weekend will go along way to convince any doubters that we payed too much money for him, but i would settle for one goal and a 1 nil win
