Fulham - More Bullard Rumours?

Glancing through the Sunday rags, one article hit me right between the eyes.

Nestling amongst the sports pages of the News of the World is the suggestion that Jimmy Bullard may not be with us come the closure of the January transfer window.

The article implies that Everton and Bolton Wanderers are about to slug it out to secure the services of Jimmy citing that Roy Hodgson, basically, doesn`t rate the player(?).

If true, I just don`t get it.

Jimmy is a legend, our first member of the England squad for several years and the fulcrum of much of our bet work.

Surely, to sell him would be lunacy or am I just looking through rose tinted glasses?

selling him is the sort of crazy thing we'd do!

Hodgson does rate him. To not offer him a new contract was not Hodgson's decision.

It states that Hodgson doesn't rate Bullard, which I don't think is true at all. What manager wouldn't want him in their side?

I have heard from a source who worked at Motspur this summer that Jimmy was actively seeking a move away. He wants to play in Europe while he has the chance (he is 29, and has just had a horrific injury), and cannot see that happening at Fulham. He believes that Fulham owe it to him to let him go, after he helped the club survive (I personally believe he owes the club for standing by him for 18 months). Roy does rate him, especially when he controls his roaming and is more effective (like in the Arsenal game). There was an interview a while back when Roy, talking about Jimmy, referred to "his beloved Fulham" in rather a sarcastic manner, which I believe reinforces the news I have received.

Perhaps we need another official statement from the club.
