Best Wishes to an Old Favourite!

Best Wishes to an Old Favourite!

Here at Vital Fulham we'd like to offer our support to an old favourite of ours.

It's been widely reported today, in the media, that Geoff Horsefield is undergoing treatment for testicular cancer.

The 34 year old played for us from October 1998 until July 2000 scoring thirty goals in fifty four games, a fine goals per game ratio.

Horsefield, who was released by Sheffield United this summer has now conceded that his career is over but remains focussed on the battle ahead.

Speaking to the media, this is what Horsefield had to say about the battle ahead,

'I was diagnosed last Friday and I'm going in for surgery next Thursday.'

'The surgeon has told me that this is the end of my professional career, but that's at the back of my mind now.'

'But all I'm thinking about now is beating this. I've always been a fighter right through my football career and I'm going to fight this and win.'

'The specialist told me I did well to find the lump because it is so small.'

Here at Vital Fulham we'd advise all men to regularly check their nether regions as this disease is curable if caught early enough.

In the mean time, all the best Geoff we're right behind you!
