'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Gera on returning to WBA

Much was made of the return of Zoltan Gera to West Bromwich Albion this weekend.

Beforehand we weren`t sure what kind of reception he`d get after leaving the Hawthorns to come to Craven Cottage in the summer.

As it turned out, he got a mixed reception. Some of the Baggies supporters applauded him whilst some booed him! Only to be expected I suggest.

Nevertheless, despite the loss, Gera was positive after the game and if the West Brom fans knew what he was to say they might well have booed him more than they cheered him.

Gera, speaking to the media, commented,

'I still believe we're good enough to finish higher than West Brom in the league, but they'll stay up.'

'I got a good reception which I appreciated a lot.'

Sensible chap we think!
