I slept like a log last night, despite the disappointment of our third Premier League defeat on the trot.
The fact that I followed Al Billy`s principals and consumed far too much disco juice may have had something to do with it.
Surprisingly, my head isn`t too bad this morning; I guess Al Billy`s right when he suggests a good old hot curry burns any hangover away.
I wonder if Roy Hodgson pursued a similar path last night!
Following on from our brief article relating to his post match press conference last night, we`ve uncovered some more quotes, quotes that continue, despite our recent form, to put a positive outlook on things.
Speaking about the result yesterday, Roy had this to say,
"I really do think that if we had taken one of the chances that came our way, we would have got what we deserved."
"I can`t be unhappy with the way we played today - just with the result. I don`t have any reason to be critical of the performance."
The devil inside of me can`t help wondering if Roy watched the same match as me!
But, he`s right, sort off, when he knocks those who seek to heap pressure on him for losing three on the tort, remarking,
"That`s only three games. You have to give me a little more leeway than that."
"If it gets to 15 games, then it would be fair to ask me that question."
The trouble is, if it got to losing 15 games on the trot, we`d be more than questioning you Roy we`d be climbing up the walls trying to heave ourselves back through the relegation trap door.
Roll on Sunderland so we can get this run ended and Roy can charm us all with that wonderful smile of his.
