Fulham - Gera - Top Half Finish?

Our current poll focuses on the possibility of us dreaming of a UEFA Cup place.

Currently, the consensus of opinion suggests that we shouldn`t get carried away with our good start to the season, however, I`m sure you`d share the ideal that we mustn`t let it go to waste, that to slump and become embroiled in a relegation battle would be a sin.

On Saturday, Zoltan Gera scored his first goal for Fulham and the Hungarian has spoken to the media about his own form and how he perceives the season turning out, explaining,

'So far I've not been satisfied with my performances but against Bolton I played well and my team-mates praised me in the dressing room`'

'It's early to talk about it but I think it would be annoying if we were fighting against relegation at the end of the season."

'It seems that Fulham have made some good signings and built a very stylish team."

'If we finished in the top half of the table then I would be satisfied.'

And so would we Zoltan, so would we.

I think if you look at our next four games (Blackburn, West Ham, West Brom, Sunderland) We should REALLY be looking at taking 9 points from those games. West Brom and Blackburn are having dire season's so far. West Ham lost to West Brom last weekend and Sunderland is always going to be decided on the day. If we play to the same standards we've been playing to so far this season. We could have played 7 games and be sitting pretty on 15 points. Now I think you have to go way back to the turn of the Millenium to find a Fulham run like that! Also, that's a HUGE step towards securing our safety as soon as possible. And with no real "Derby" this season, the quicker we're safe, the better!

totally agree, a consecutive 3 wins (incl. the leicester game) s absolutely an encouraging start. gd to c our lads look hungry not only for goals but also eager to play well until wins under RH. reckon a top half finish s all about playing consistently plus winning about one third of the 38 games in a season, so if we r going to achieve this target, games like Blackburn n West Brom r the ones we MUST get all 3 points. dun forget we r capable to play well enough to beat big teams like Arsenal! as long as the lads dun suffer serious injuries or suspensions, there s no reason y we wont carry on our winning run!

i think our current team is o lot more focused than previous, and with roy now stamping his style of play on them no reason this wont be our best season ever , injuries and suspensions could however screw this up espeically with the size of our squad, heres hoping for injury free season

Good to see he is admitting he hasn't played so well so far, so we have more to come from him!! Which sounds damn good to me!
