'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Reaching the 100 Club!

This really could be a weekend whereby milestones are achieved.

As already mentioned, Simon Davies and Jimmy Bullard could notch up 250 career appearances in club football, well two of our other players could also reach a milestone.

That milestone being 100 career league goals.

The players standing on the brink are Andrew Johnson and Danny Murphy.

Johnson, who is set to make his debut, needs a solitary strike to reach 100 goals in a career that has seen him play for Crystal Palace, Birmingham, Everton and Fulham. Whilst Murphy needs two to reach 100 in a career that has seen him play for Crewe, Liverpool, Charlton, Tottenham and Fulham.

Wouldn't it be a quirk of fate if we won 3-1, as I predicted, and both players reached that magical milestone?

What better way for Johnson to announce his arrival, at Craven Cottage, than notching his 100th goal?

Now if they were to both reach 101 tomorrow that would be a result!
