Fabio! Go for Jimmy!

Fabio! Go for Jimmy!

There's no denying that England produced a performance against Andorra that lacked imagination, penetration and that wow factor.

It's become a trait of recent England games where the crowd have been bored to tears and decided to jeer those on the pitch.

It was thought that the introduction of Fabio Capello might shake things up, that the bewilderment of the McClaren era would be blown away, but it hasn't.

On Wednesday, England face a crucial qualifier against Croatia, a defeat would put England on the back foot and already in danger of not topping the group and gaining automatic qualification.

If that were the case, the pressure on Capello would be immense.

So, faced with that scenario, perhaps Capello is looking at making some changes, injecting something different into the side, giving it that little shake-up it needs.

Now we may be a little biased here at Vital Fulham but we can't help feeling that throwing Jimmy Bullard into the mix would be a good thing.

His energy, his enthusiasm and his infectious nature, allied with his abilities at free kicks could be just what we need to pull of a shock result in Zagreb and make no mistake if we do win it will, on current form, be a shock.

The only question remaining is whether Capello has the balls to do something different or simply hope his tried and trusted stooges can finally deliver a decent performance for him!

on the showing of Lampard, Barry and Downing (Walcott played well) Bullard deserves to be on the bench if not starting. Lampard is bloody useless in an England shirt...
