'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fulham Failed in Speedy Winger Attempted Signing.

If it`s true this is very frustrating!

Reports are coming through that Fulham faile din a late bid to sign the ex-Glasgow Rangers forward, Peter Lovenkrands.

Anyone who has seen Lovenkrands play for the Ibrox club will know that he has devastating pace and on his day is a real handful to any defence in the land.

Last season, I caught a few glimpses, on television, of our neighbours down the road encountering Lovenkrands at his paciest when they travelled to play Schalke.

One devastating run left the defence trailing and only the post kept his shot out.

The deadline day bid, supposedly made by Roy Hodgson, was blocked by the Schalke manager Andreas Muller who wanted a whopping fee of £2.5 million for the disillusioned winger.

Speaking about a possible return to the United Kingdom, Lovenkrands remarked,

'It would have been an advantage to go to England for me and my family'

Unfortunately, life is full of 'what might have been` so perhaps we shouldn`t ponder too long over this missed opportunity.

I can't say I am:) I've seen him several times for the Danish national team & Schalke, and he is like a left wing Dennis Rommedahl!

Andrew obviously saw him play on a good day.
