'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fulham - Cookie on Gray!

Our last signing before the transfer window, Julian Gray, took us all by surprise.

Arriving from Coventry, Gray is obviously trying to carve out a career in Premier League football, a career that hasn't quite fulfilled expectations since he burst on to the scene at Crystal Palace.

Chris Coleman, now holding the managers position at Coventry has spoken ut about the move and has given it his blessing remarking,

'I spoke to Roy Hodgson and he expressed his interest in Julian and obviously with less than 12 months left on his contract Jules is free to speak to whoever he likes.'

'Fulham is a Premier League club and everyone wants to play in the Premier League.'

'Once Jules heard Fulham were interested he was obviously very keen on the move and from our point of view we thought it would suit all parties.'

'For the duration of his move we wish Julian all the best.'

Here's hoping that, with that desire apparently burning again, Gray proves to be an astute acquisition.

I think Gray is a competent bench player, I like the bloke! Better than some of the wingers that Cookie bought anyway.. Elrich anyone? :)
