Finnan Ends Up in Spain?

Back in times when we all thought we were in for a warm summer (look what we got instead?), we speculated that Steve Finnan might make a return to Craven Cottage.

After being sold to Liverpool for £3.5 million in 2003, it appeared that the popular Irish international might be surplus to requirements, unfortunately, it wasn`t to be and today Finnan has embarked on the latest stage of a rewarding career by joining the Spanish side, Espanyol.

As somebody who admired Finnan in a white shirt, I`d like to take this opportunity to wish him well in his new surroundings.

I'm sure you'll all join me in doing so.

Count me in...he has wisely decided to play for a team who will give me a shirt and tell him to go and play. They have a nice new stadium on the way too. Good luck Finns...i look forward to seeing you on the pitch at Craven Cottage sometime in the next five years.
