Dickson Etuhu has confirmed today that he is all set to join the mighty whites as he is in London finalising a move from Sunderland.

The deal is expected to be finalised on Friday providing he passes the famous Fulham medical.

'I heard a few clubs were interested but Sunderland didn't want to sell,' explained Etuhu to setantasports.com.

'It was the hardest decision of my career. I had a chat with Roy Keane and he didn't want me to go and tried to convince me to stay.

'I also met Roy Hodgson and spoke to Roy, met Fulham and the team and decided I liked it already.

'I wanted to go to Fulham. I've been out for six months and want to move on and play and be closer to my family in London.

'I want to thank Roy Keane for giving me a chance to play in The Premier League, it's been a dream come true for me.

'I want to come home to London as I grew up here but last year was great and I loved Sunderland and the fans are the greatest I've had so far. It was a great pleasure playing for them.

'Roy Keane wanted me to stay and I'm proud to have two managers wanting me.

'The deal is going to be wrapped up some time today.

'It's been a difficult two weeks for me. Roy Keane wanted me to stay and I've got great respect for him but I'm looking forward to working with Roy Hodgson and I've heard great things about him.'

I haven't seen enough of this player to come to a conclusion about him. However at 6-foot-2 he is the big, strong powerhouse we need in our midfield. Does he have the quality though?

Haven't heard that much about him! Don't know if he's really top quality yet. To be honest our midfield looks really strong at the moment at at the moment I think he'll be a good back-up player to give us strength to hold onto a lead for the last 20 minutes of a game, that kinda thing! What does everyone else reckon? Anyone actually seen him play?

I haven't heard too many positives about him. But then again it was the same for Pantsil!

He's here......looks like a good bloke and had a lot of good to say about the team. Seems to want to knuckle down and get himself into the team so I think he'll have to fight for his place! Looks like the kinda bloke who can become the next cult hero!
