'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fulham - Credit Where Credit is Due.

There`s no doubting the defeat to Premier League new boys Hull City hurt last weekend.

Our poll at the time indicated that the loss had seriously deflated the vast majority of you.

But, in our poll predicting the result of the game yesterday we were more than a little surprised to see that a massive 61% of you thought that Arsenal would win with only 14% going for a Fulham win and 25% thinking a draw would be the best we could muster.

Regular readers of our site may have noticed that most of my articles, last week, finished with a plea to 'Bring on the Arsenal` as I felt, without Fabregas, they were there for the taking, a little confidence goes along way perhaps.

Nevertheless, I`m not going to take any credit for the win, that is reserved for every one of the fourteen participants and the coaching staff of our fine club.

But Roy summed things up perfectly when he remarked, in his post match interview,

"I am delighted for the team, especially after the disappointment of last week, they were strong today to come back and get three points off the Arsenal."

Now let`s not go and ruin it by slipping up against Leicester City, in the Carling Cup, this Wednesday.

It`s about time we had a return trip to Wembley, it`s been too long since our last one.

last 20 minutes were a bit rocky though!

Yes indeed, the win made up for that long trek back from Hull last week. Those last twenty minutes didn`t do my jam tart any favours either, who could forget our `Alamo` game at Highbury a few seasons ago, not good for your fingernails either!. Leicester will be despatched next, maybe a trip to Wembley this season, something as you rightly say is long overdue, especially for our new/younger fans.

martintheveg, where do you usually hang before games? Would you guys on this site be interested in meeting before a game for a pint or two? A vital Fulham get together?
