'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Bolton Still Pursuing Bullard.

Speaking to friends during the summer, I couldn`t help but wax lyrical about how much of an important player I believed a fully-fit Jimmy Bullard would be for us this season.

After recovering from his appalling injury, Jimmy gave us glimpses of what he could do in the back end of last season, so imagine what he could do if he could stay fit for a whole season.

Yesterday, his display put him firmly in the mix for the man-of-the-match award but today the vultures, if the Sunday tabloids are correct, are circling again.

Gary Megson, in charge at Bolton Wanderers, is keen to recruit Jimmy to prop up his ailing team.

Speaking to reporters, Megson is quoted as remarking,

"We`ve made an offer for Bullard (£3m) and it wasn`t accepted, so we will now have to see where we go now."

The same report then goes on to speculate that Megson will increase his bid to £4 million in an attempt to try and force Fulham to sell.

Naturally, reports of Fulham not talking to Jimmy about a renewed contract are thrown into the equation.

Personally speaking, if I were Jimmy I`d be asking myself whether I`d be prepared to move to Bolton Wanderers and face a relegation fight (because that`s where they are heading) or reap the rewards of the fine work Roy Hodgson is doing at Craven Cottage.

I guess the answer is quite simple really isn`t it?

Lets be honest, after yesterday's performance he'll be siding with Fulham. He is a hero here and it won't be the same if he headed up there! Just seriously....HE IS OURS....GO AWAY!!!
