'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Davis Deal finally Done and Dusted.

Thankfully it is finally all done and dusted!

What am I talking about? That damned transfer of Steven Davis to Glasgow Rangers from Fulham.

After rumours circulated that personal terms were proving to be a problem, Davis has finally put pen to paper and signed a deal whereby we'll get £3 million.

Davis played for Northern Ireland, in the friendly against Scotland last night and remained behind, in Glasgow, to complete the deal and have his medical.

The deal will delight the Northern Ireland boss, Nigel Worthington, who had previously implied,

'Steven seemed to be low in confidence, lacking in energy. At Rangers he found his confidence and energy again. You can see he is enjoying his football.'

All that remains to be seen is whether Roy Hodgson is allowed to spend the money received to strengthen his squad ahead of the transfer window closure on September 1st.

Fingers crossed we can get a few more players after he and Healy have gone. Should be an interesting last few weeks in the window
