Fulham - Johnson Cardiff Bound

Fulham - Johnson Cardiff Bound

As we reported last week, our American striker Eddie Johnson is on the verge of moving to Championship side, Cardiff City.

Johnson, who has fallen well down the pecking order since Roy Hodgson signed Bobby Zamora and Andy Johnson, is reported as going to Cardiff on loan for the season.

According to reports, the deal has been done whilst Johnson was away on international duty and the twenty-four year old will fly back to the United Kingdom to finalise it today.

Will he be missed? Your thoughts please.

I think he showed some potential and think that he will come back a better player after this. He needs to adapt to the English game and he'll do well at Cardiff. Fingers crossed he gets a good chance. I hear there is a clause in the loan deal that can see him come back in January. Obviously Roy feels he has something to add and is keeping him in mind enough to want to bring him back from loan early.

He has pace for sure, but a truly awful first touch for a premiership player. Plus he's a bit lazy, I recall the fans really getting narked off with him in one of the games last season because of a couple of occasions when there was a 50/50 chance that he wouldn't be able to keep a ball in play so rather than chase after it he just gave up and let the ball trickle out for a goal kick. Then after a couple of incidents of 'I can't be bothered to challenge for the ball' the crowd got right on his back! Truly a man unfortunately not prepared for the pace of the Premiership, lets hope he does come back strong.

that s what happens when a lad come to EPL n find he needs time to adapt to a different style of play. think there s very much pressure on him in January when he just arrived from US n stuggled to play well enough for us fighting in relegation zone last season. Cardiff maybe an ideal place for him to explore more about English football EJ s still young he s explosive n physically strong what he needs s bit more time to adjust his play get him back next season
