Moritz Volz On Good Looking Fans & More!

Moritz Volz On Good Looking Fans & More!

Ahead of this weekend's opening fixture against the Tigers, Moritz Volz talks about baking, pre-season preparation, good-looking fans and more...

'Well, as we all know the season kicks off this weekend - which is good news for all us players as it means that the hard graft of pre-season is finally over! Training always slows down once the games start - you`ve built up your fitness and it`s more about maintaining the levels than building them up.

'I`ll be looking to improve on my pre-match cake-baking this season too. I actually spent a lot of time over the summer perfecting my cup cakes. In fact, while on holiday in New York this summer I went to the famous Magnolia Bakery which is in the meat-packing district and has been on shows like Sex in the City. I bought a book from there and that really got me going on the cup cakes - they`re great fun to make. Although I`m not sure cup cakes are what we`ll need ahead of our opening game against Hull at the weekend. I`m thinking more along the lines of a rock cake for that one!

'Apparently a modelling agency voted Fulham fans as the second best looking supporters in the Premier League which is all very flattering. The fact that I spent more time in the stands than usual last season is obviously no coincidence...'

I like Volz and I like his attitude. The "obviously no coincidence" bit is damn funny. Although the whole cup cake thing is worrying me a bit ; )
