Schwarzer Forecasts A Better Season!

He may only have joined us in the, still open, transfer window but veteran keeper, Mark Schwarzer, ahead of the season remains full of confidence.

With Roy Hodgson having signed two other keepers, Schwarzer knows that competition for places will be fiercer than ever and that his move form Middlesbrough might not be the swan-song he envisaged if he doesn't perform to the top of his ability.

Nevertheless, it is good to hear Schwarzer commenting,

'The club is definitely looking in the right direction to progress up the table.'

As an outsider looking in on the tribulations of last season, he may well have been hesitant in putting pen to paper but his outlook suggests he's seen enough to promote a better season, for us, this time around!

I reckon Stockdale will have that jersey by February!

Boro fans reckon he lost his edge two years ago :-)

So this other gadgy - will he get a look in this Pascal fella?

Only if we have a crisis. Schwarzer will playh all season if he doesn't get injured. He needed a new challenge. 10 years in boro is too much for anyone!

Schwarzer is just one of those keepers. Being an Aussie I've followed him alot and he's a little bit like David James aswell. He's one of those keepers who can be shaky at times but is solid as a rock. He's the kinda keeper that we haven't really had since Van Der Saar and he'll be key to our success this season. I reckon we'll see Stockdale playing in the Cup competitions but I think Schwarzer is right, we look alot better than last season and there definitely seems to be that belief around. All over the net and throughout the tabloids there is less hype about us getting relegated this year
