Worthington Boosts Healy Confidence!

Yesterday, in the results of our poll relating to which striker you thought would be the next to leave after the signing of Andrew Johnson, David Healy, our Northern Ireland international, featured heavily at the top end of the poll.

The twenty-nine year old is clearly at a defining point in his career as the 2008-2009 season approaches, however, he has good support from his international boss, Nigel Worthington, who has called him up for the friendly fixture against Scotland, in Glasgow, commenting,

'We will have to see what happens at Fulham with David now they have signed more strikers,'

'He will get his head down and carry on working in training and, if he gets a chance, show what he can do in games.'

What are the chances of Healy notching up a quick-fire double against Scotland?
