Fulham - Hodgson Bemoans Poor Finish!

It`s the morning after the night before and a time for a quick reflection on the 2-2 draw yesterday!

Time tends to put things into perspective and on reflection drawing 2-2 after being 2-0 up with ten minutes to go could quite easily, as far as the emotions go, be perceived as a loss.

Roy Hodgson, speaking after the match, saw it as an opportunity to register a confidence building win lost, remarking,

"We threw the game away."

"We dominated from start to finish and never looked like conceding but my players thought it was too easy and I hope they learned their lessons."

"We created so many chances but wasted them with people selfishly shooting from 30 yards."

Let`s hope the gremlins are all out of the system before the trip to the KC Stadium next Saturday!

Hmmm. How many of our starting games last season were we comfortably leading when we suddenly let in two goals? deja vu or what. Hope the existing players haven't caught the same bug from the dressing room.

i think the problem was that it all got a little bit too easy yesterday and a touch of complacency set in - doesn't auger well for the season - stamp on it now Roy!

anyone else see the blatent dig at Bullard in there? "We created so many chances but wasted them with people selfishly shooting from 30 yards." Can't remember anyone else but Bullard do that!

Yes Oranje, it was only Bullard shooting from that distance. But to be fair at least he was having a go at goal, the rest of the team dithered in front of goal, looking for that extra pass that wasn't necessary. Definite dig at Bullard
