Johnson Finally Signs for Fulham!

After what seems an eternity, Everton`s forward, Andrew Johnson finally put pen to paper and signed a Fulham contract, for a four year deal, late last night.

After the deal was shrouded in doubt, courtesy of a previous injury showing up during the medical, Fulham have negotiated a new deal whereby a reported £10.5 million has been paid up fornt with the remainder to come dependent upon appearances.

Roy Hodgson is naturally pelased to finally get his man and had this to say to the media.

"I have made no secret of my wish to add Andy Johnson to my squad at Fulham.'

"I believe that he has all the qualities needed to assist us in next season`s campaign and I am more than delighted that we have secured his services for the long term."

'There has been a lot of speculation regarding this transfer during the last week, very little of which has had any foundation.'

'I am just happy to be able to focus on the positive news that Andy Johnson is now a Fulham player, one who we have great hopes for, and I am grateful to the chairman, the board of directors and the chief executive for working tirelessly to make this possible.'

Now let`s get on with the action!

Brilliant news for us. I'm really looking forward to the start of the season now. We just need to pick up a centre back now and we're all set

Anything over 12 goals I'd be happy with because its been a while since any of our strikers have achieved it. Happy about this signing, but I wonder if Zamora actually might wind up being top scorer next year!
