Fulham - Johnson update!

There is still no official word from the club on whether the deal is done and dusted but depending on where you probe depends upon how much you believe we`re going to pay.

The Guardian is suggesting that Fulham have negotiated a deal whereby we`ll be paying as little as £5.5 million up front rising to the reported £13 million on appearances.

The report does go on to suggest though that the remaining bulk of the fee will be paid sooner rather than later.

Does that make sense to you?

Does it make you happier about the deal?

I think this could be the deal of the summer!!
Jossmyth
would be better if we paid Everton by the goal!
Al Billy
now we're talking! if they get rich we've got sucessful!
Putney
Perfic! but no the deal of the summer was Dos Santos to spurs. He's worth about £17Mill and the got im for £4.3M
Backslash2010
Brilliant deal When he's fully fit he's a brilliant player to have one your side and will be in line for another England call up soon! The only slight worry I reckon could be the fact that the further payments are appearance based. Could this mean that Roy might not play him as much so as to save us some cash? Still, with him and Zamora up front I hear goals a-coming
jackbarendse
No way. We agreed to that deal to help spread out the payments and to ensure that 'if' there is an injury, we're not accumulating transfer costs whilst he's not playing. Roy would never agree to a deal and then stop playing him after he's scored 15 goals as Big Mo didn't want to pay the next £2m installment.
Jossmyth
Obviously, However i still can't wait to see him and Zamora up front together banging in goals! Finally we'll have a striker who might hit 15-20 goals in a season!
jackbarendse
Huh??! You asked, "Could this mean that Roy might not play him as much so as to save us some cash?" and I answered it saying that there's not a chance that this will happen. Then I get a response saying 'Obviously'. Haha!! Oh well.
Jossmyth
It was just a thought! But when explained it was obvious that i was wrong
jackbarendse
look bottom line is were getting a good striker here who wil lrun his heart out and he is clinical i nfront of goal with him and zamora and nevland an so on we have a fair few nice strikers at fulham fc.
