Fulham - The Lee Cook Situation!

Fulham - The Lee Cook Situation!

Now I`m looking for help here!

When I suggested that I had this desire to see us play (and knock out) Queens Park Rangers in either of the domestic cup competitions this season, I got a mixed reception.

I had the Queens Park Rangers fans telling me that they`d stuff us and I had a few of our own informing me that Lee Cook, the reason why I wanted to play them, wouldn`t be eligible.

Now the second point I have to admit was one that slipped my mind, but I still had this vision of Mr I would only have left Fulham for QPR Cook sitting up in the stand mightily dejected as we trounced them.

So imagine my surprise when I pick up the papers today and find the following quote attributed to Mr Cook,

"I hoped to get a chance but didn't play one game for Fulham. Now I hope we draw them in the Cup.'

Can he play, injury permitting, or not?

It depends on the deal between us and QPR. You can restrict the use of loan signings to only play league football so that if we wanted to recall him, he would still be eligable for the cup. The other restrictions that you can put in place is to not allow the player to play against his current club. This has happened many time in the past few years with some of the big prem teams loaning players to lower level prem clubs and then that player can't play against their current team. I think there was even a case in the FA cup Semi final last year with a keeper (Luke Steele???) who had to miss the semi's because it was against the club who owned him.

So, even if he dose play do you really think he'll get past Stoor. Lee Cock came to fulham for the Big check but then realised that he wasn't up to scratch so fained an injury now he is back where he belongs in the Championship with Qphahahar and he thinks the will do us? Wake up and smell the coffee Lee

That's pretty good spelling there, Backslash! It's a shame that you didn't get to see Cookie play for your boys. As the son of a Fulham fan, I haven't come here to have a slagging match, but you will see what a good player he is, over the next season. Then, hopefully, we'll be playing you next season! Good luck for the coming season, boys!!!

I like the guy. Wasn't his fault his body reacted badly to the op. I still think he is a good player and hope he proved how good he is to roy on his loan and we refuse to allow him to join on a perminant

Nice balanced argument from the Watford bloke. They didn't make him that player, QPR did! He joined us as he's a life-long fan. That is why he gave his 250K signing on fee back to us to help us stay afloat before the takeover. How many players would do that??? Anyone that wants to see him injured again is just being nasty and vindictive. Why not just say that you hope Pantsil or Stoor mark him out of the game? Why does it have to be "he flies over the hammersmith end " or "I'd prefer over the stand and into the Thames!"
