Fulham - Niemi...crocked again!

Our Finnish keeper suffers another injury blow.

After undergoing surgery on his left wrist last June, Antti was, we all believed, progressing well, but unfortunately began to experience problems indicating there was something not quite right.

Medical investigations revealed further damage to the previously injured wrist, and as a result Antti will have additional surgery next week to repair the problem found

Regarding the situation Antti commented on the official site,

"I'm extremely disappointed that having returned to training, I now have to undergo further surgery. However, I'm confident that I can recover from this set back sooner rather than later. I was looking forward to joining the new players who have been added to the squad, who I think are great additions for Fulham. I will now focus on my rehabilitation after surgery and look forward to returning as soon as possible."

Frankly, I was worried we would be thin on the ground for keepers if Niemi left, he may be injured but he does sound positive and not like a man who wants to leave.

He` s not worth keeping in my opinion, his bottle has been missing for yonks, anyone care to tell me when they can recall him coming to collect a cross ?.

i rekon we could get about a milliopn to be honest he is good shot stopper really good to be honest but he is poor at crosses ever since that horrible incedent with watford where he hurt his neck
