Vital Fulham Interviews: Mark Ramirez

Vital Fulham Interviews: Mark Ramirez

Mark Ramirez (a fan from America!) is next up for the Vital Fulham interview.

1 - How long have you been a Fulham fan and how did you get the bug?
Since 2003. I went with my uni football team to Scotland and England to soak up the football culture and get waxed by some British teams, and we took in a premiership game, Fulham v. Middlesboro at loftus road while the cottage was being renovated. Brilliant game, saha and van der sar in their prime, and I`ve been hooked since

2 - What was your first game?
Unfortunately, living in the US has prevented me from going to any more games than the one, but this year that will change.

3 - What is your most memorable moment as a Fulham fan?
One of my best friends is a gooner, so being able to gloat about the 2-1 win at home was glorious.

4 - And the worst moment?
About 3 weeks left to go in this last season when I was sure I`d be unable to watch Fulham play live because championship games aren't really broadcast in the states.

5 - Who are your favourite current Fulham players?
Jimmy Bullard, no question. loves the game, and i love that about him. roy's a fool if he lets he leave.

6 - Which former player/s are your ultimate heroes?
Being a yank I have to put McBride at the top of my list. if a fellow American can captain a premiership team and lead them in scoring, i can hold my head high watching football in the US.

7 - Which player do you think was the worst to ever put on the team colours?
Absolutely hated Radzinski.

8 - What is the best goal you have seen Fulham score and which is your favourite game?
Bouazza's free kick against man city i think it was this year was a stunner. 2-1 arsenal game where boa morte put on a show was a treat to watch. Loved every minute of it..

9 - Best away ground visited?
At anfield on a tour I pissed in the referee's locker room. That was a laugh.

10 - Who would you like to see Fulham sign this summer?
I would love to see Rosenior return to the whites. he was Fulham through and through, and I`m still not sure why he was booted out of here.

11 - What are your predictions for us this season in the:
a) League: somewhere from 12 to 15.
b)Carling Cup: Semi-final
c) Fa Cup: Quarter-final.

12 - What is your opinion of Roy Hodgson?
I like what he's done so far. We`re playing a beautiful game again, not as negative as Sanchez. Hangeland's been a rock in the back, so I`m willing to see how his transfer targets turn out. So far so good.

13 - What is your opinion of MAF?
He loves the club and his hearts in it. Not in it for the money. Love him.

14 - Are you happy to stay at the Cottage or is it time to move on?
The cottage is our home. We can renovate it a little bigger, but we're far from the day when we need a 60,000 seater.

15 - Where do you sit at the Cottage and are you a season ticket holder?
I can't wait to sit in the cottage again. not a season ticket holder, but I`m a regular at the pub that plays the premiership games.

16 - If you could invite 4 people connected to Fulham, living or dead, to a dinner party, who would they be?
always liked cookie at the helm. Maybe not the best manager, but I`d want to talk to him. mcbride's my idol so I`d love to talk to him. Bullard`s a nutter so I`d like to talk to him a bit. He`d crack me up. van der sar's a world class keeper, and I`ve love to ask him what happened against Russia this summer. That was an absolute stinker.

Thanks to Mark for answering the questions.
