Fulham - Zuberbuhler Who?

Those of you who read the report from our first game of the Korean tour may have been as stumped as me to see the name of Pascal Zuberbuhler between the posts in the report.

Zuberbuhler replaced David Stockdale as Roy Hodgson takes the opportunity to assess whether the veteran thirty-seven year old is worthy of a short term contract.

Having played for Switzerland at Euro 2008, Pascal has international pedigree and with Tony Warner having left, Antti Niemi looking at a move to Juventus and Kasey Keller opting not to take the twelve month extension, in favour of a move to either Germany or the USA, our goalkeeping stock could do with a little replenishment.

We`ll let you know if Roy decides to offer him a contract.

why not stick with Schwarzer and Stockdale with a youngster as back up?
Al Billy
Bit of a risk if Schwarzer picks up an injury though Al Billy. What if Schwarz winds up as injury prone as Niemi and Stockdale has a Carson 'England' style howler that rocks his confidence? We should look for experienced cover I reckon.
