Fulham Still in the Race For Johnson?

After implying that he was still in the market for a striker, the rumours refuse to die down that Roy Hodgson's intended target is the Everton forward, Andy Johnson.

Johnson, at twenty seven, is the reported target of both Wigan and Fulham with Steve Bruce having already had a bid, in the region of £9 million, turned down by the Everton suits.

Normally, such a figure would rule us out of any bidding war but the tabloids seem intent on pushing through the implication that a £10.5 million bid from us will be enough to see Johnson London bound.

We'll just wait and see shall we!

It's beginning to confuse me! The story is going around in circles, Moyes told the papers it was merely speculation. Then a local paper say it's going to happen as soon as a replacement is found. Apparently Wigan are still the front runners. I'd like him to stay still and us sign someone to compete with him, our squad is small enough as it is!

confuse you! it's confused me for days - why are we even interested in him?

£10 million - that sum seems incredible for a club like us!

That would be the same amount of cash we spent on the clueless Marlet! M A-F won't put his hand in his pocket for that much especially since we're expected to struggle again this year and our bank account must be taking a beating still from the S*****z era's numerous expensive mistakes

I can't believe we have that kind of money to spend on someone that isn't worth it, Surely we learnt after the marlet saga
