Fulham - Zamora Explains Injury Record!
If I were to put my hand on my heart, one of the reasons why I didn`t jump for joy when Bobby Zamora signed for us was his injury record last season.
Zamora missed six whole months of the season, out through injury.
But the forward has been quick to come forward and explain the reason for his absence, explaining,
"It was a strange injury. Nobody could pin down what it was. I was never in pain but there was inflammation on my knee and so I ended up resting until it cleared up."
"I passed the medical to come here - and it was a full day. I`ve never worked such long hours."
"I feel good now. I played ten games at the end of last year so there are no problems at all."
That`s great to hear but I guess it`ll take a few uninterrupted months of playing for Fulham before I`m fully convinced!

I'm always dubious about the results of medicals! Remember Claus Jensen anyone? Passed his medical, was going to be the man who Coleman would build his midfield around... spent almost his entire contract injured, coming back for two games, injured, coming back for one training session, injured.... and Christanval was another with terrible injury record, Simon Elliott, all passed medicals all spent their fulham career primarily on the treatment table. Lets all hope Zamora's knee is sorted now

To be fair Elliot was absolutley fine, it was a freak accedent if I remember correctly that buggered his knee. Lee Cook is another good example. but if they spent a whole day looking at him then its all fine surely.
