Fulham - New Central Defender Link!

Fulham - New Central Defender Link!

The latest in a long line of defenders to be linked with Fulham is Alexander Madlung.

As Roy Hodgson seeks to compile a squad that has both depth and strength in every position, the focus on recruiting a high class defender from Europe has switched to Wolfsberg.

After, reputedly, pursuing Josip Simunic of Hertha Berlin but to no avail, Roy, according to a number of sources, sees Madlung as ideal support or competition for his current centre back pairing of Hughes and Hangeland.

With a fee of £1.5 million being suggested and with the player keen to try his luck in England, Roy, if the transfer comes off, could well have pulled off something of a coup.

We'll try and keep you informed if anything comes of this one.

Woy does love his basketball style players in defence doesn't he? 6ft 5! Lets sign him and rule the premiership next season from set pieces!
