Fulham - Four Men and a Stranger!

As the editor of this site, I've been intrigued to notice how the responses to orange_emu's request for answers to his interview have been filtering through.

With today being quite slow on the news front, I decided to elaborate on one of his proposed questions, the one relating to four dinner guests who were associated with Fulham.

Recalling all those individuals who have been associated with our club, the choice available is huge.

But after sitting down for a few hours and running the idea through my head, I couldn't help but take a slightly different slant on the question.

Instead of settling for a dinner party, I opted to make my little jaunt with four famous faces from Fulham, past or present, a weekend away, a weekend away in the country regaling how life has treated us all, enjoying a few beers and getting back to nature.

If you stay with me, you'll get where I'm coming from and leading too!

My four guests, in no particular order, would be George Best, Rodney Marsh, Jimmy Bullard and Booby Moore.

Now, as you can see, it's a pretty mixed bag and there would probably be a lot of alcohol consumed and the odd laugh or two.

Bestie would be the joker in the pack, a little mischievous but a bundle of fun and one who I'd willingly share a drink with late into the night. Just imagine the stories he could tell.

Marshie would be just as entertaining, a character who is as bubbly and opinionated off the pitch as he was entertaining on the pitch. I once saw George Best and Rodney Marsh doing a tour whereby they shared their football experiences, as an appetiser it would auger well for a weekend away with the pair.

Jimmy would be the link man between the past and present, the smiling effervescent character able to keep spirits up, able to show us how to adapt to nature and fish the lakes whiling away time.

Bobby Moore would be the voice of reason, a man not afraid to down a beer or two but a man of the strongest character who would prevent it all getting out of hand, a man who could entertain us with tales of how the World Cup was won, of how he was set up in Mexico and of a remarkable career.

I think you'd agree that it'd be a wonderful weekend away wouldn't it!
